Assets of the Kalliasseri Gramapanchayat
The land, buildings, roads, bridges, drinking water projects, street lights, public wells, ponds, markets, community halls, Anganwadis, parks, vehicles, furniture, office equipment, and other infrastructure owned and controlled by the Local Self-Government Institution constitute its major assets.
It is the primary responsibility of the Local Self-Government Institution to properly record, protect, maintain, and manage such assets used for providing public services. An Asset Register should be prepared and periodically updated, incorporating details such as the description of the assets, location, area, present condition, usage, value, and other relevant information.
Accurate information on assets is essential for planning the development activities of the Panchayat, ensuring the efficient utilization of existing assets, and formulating new projects. Public participation should also be ensured in the protection and maintenance of public assets.
