Grama Panchayat

Kalliasseri Grama Panchayat has been implementing various activities with active public participation in the areas of sanitation and waste management. The Panchayat has undertaken various projects and awareness programmes to ensure cleanliness in households, institutions and public places and to promote the scientific management of waste. Measures have been strengthened to ensure sanitation through activities such as the functioning of the **Haritha Karma Sena**, door-to-door waste collection, source-level waste management, cleaning of public places and control of plastic waste. Sanitation activities are being carried out with the collective participation of elected representatives, officials, Haritha Karma Sena members, Kudumbashree workers, various institutions, voluntary organisations, traders, students, youth and the general public. By embracing sanitation as a continuous social responsibility and upholding the message **“Our Waste, Our Responsibility,”** the Panchayat is moving towards its goal of creating a clean, healthy and environmentally friendly Kalliasseri. As part of these collective efforts, **Kalliasseri Grama Panchayat declares itself a Total Sanitation Panchayat.**
